KRISTEN GREENWALD, LCSW

As a trauma-informed clinician and mezzo level social worker, Kristen (she/her) specializes in the intersection of human and planetary health.  As a clinician, she provides individual therapy for individuals impacted by the ecological crisis to support a better quality of life and more effective engagement in environmental change work.  Additionally, Kristen teaches a class for aspiring clinicians in the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver called Environmental Change Impacts and Resilience Strategies for Mental Health.  She is currently supporting the university to create a larger certificate on this topic matter.  

As a social worker, she also serves as the Regional Coordinator of Colorado for the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America, supporting local clinicians to develop their expertise in providing mental health support for the ecological distress, as well as expand the network of climate-aware clinicians throughout the state.  Furthermore, Kristen serves as the Assistant Chair of Regional Coordinators for the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America to support the knowledge and effectiveness of regional coordinators in the United States and Canada.  Finally, Kristen provides workshops, trainings, and retreats for the Climate Emotional Resilience Institute.
