The Climate Emotional Resilience Institute (CERI) is an international collaborative organization founded in 2023 to help navigate the complex emotional responses to climate change. We are working at the intersection of mental health and climate change, believing that emotional resilience is a needed, foundational resource necessary to move through the ongoing effects of this crisis.

About Us

Climate Psychology studies the psychological effects of climate degradation and how our thoughts and emotions can influence our response to the climate crisis.

Who we are for:

For Activists. For Scientists. For Helpers. For Students. For Parents. For Teachers. For Companies. For Us.

For people who want to do the internal work in order to continue to engage with the external world. For those who want to be in community while navigating today’s world. For those who want to cultivate a practice of inter-being, building connection with ourselves, with others, and with the more-than-human world.

“If the world is to be healed through human efforts, I am convinced it will be by ordinary people, people whose love for this life is even greater than their fear.”

— Joanna R. Macy
